It is with a heavy heart that I am now letting you know that the practice will be temporarily closed.
It has been a tough but necessary decision based on last night’s speech by our Prime Minister and guidelines from The British Dental Association. The health of our staff, our patients and the public is and always has been our prime concern.
Any appointments made between now and July will be cancelled but you will be contacted by a team member to rebook so that we do not ‘lose’ you in the appointment system. We are currently setting up a telephone triage system to give you advice in the event of an acute dental emergency and details will follow in due course. We won’t just be disappearing off and leaving you to figure out things yourself. We are unable to set up a clinic at the practice as we have no staff who are able to assist or the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to treat you with. We are awaiting direction from NHS England on urgent referral centres in the area for patients with acute dental pain.
Again I appreciate this may not be what you want to hear but I am confident you will all stand behind us in this decision as it quite literally is a matter of life and death.
With every good wish to you and your loved ones.
